Statistics show that students who attend revision courses generally fare better in the Leaving and Junior Cert exams. Midland Tutorial Center have provided revision courses in Athlone, Co. Westmeath since 1987 for those students who are eager to improve upon their grades in June. We have deliberately held our prices as low as possible ( the same price as in 2004) while yet providing students with the best teaching available in much smaller classes. Background
Midland Tutorial Centre was established in 1986. Its purpose then was to help students improve their grades through intensive revision during the holiday periods. Now twenty years on it is even more important that students reach their full potential and good revision is necessary for that. Students of Midland Tutorial Centre gain significantly as class sizes are relatively small and the centre is staffed by highly qualified and dedicated teachers, who provide quality teaching with excellent notes. All this is achieved at a cost that is considerably lower than in other comparable institutions.
There is no substitute for the excellent teacher.In Midland Tutorial Centre we have highly motivated dynamic and experienced people currently teaching to honours Leaving Cert level. Our hand picked teachers are backed by years of excellent examination results and as correctors are keenly aware of all examination requirements.
The classes are closely monitored and are generally much smaller than at other revision courses. Class rolls are taken during each session and parents are notified of absences.
While emphasising the importance of teaching in a classroom M.T.C also provide each student with a set of original notes especially prepared for the course. These notes consist of sample questions, model answers and summary's of the topics taught. They are designed to reinforce and clarify class teaching. The emphasis throughout the course is on examination techniques.
Supervised study is provided daily from 9.30am to 5.00pm each day. Also available are canteen facilities and transport on different routes
